All Access Challenge Pack.



These workout programs are so great. They are designed sort of like in home trainers. Anyone can do them (they all have modifiers), you can use your phone, tablet, laptop, or TV to stream your workout, and you get access to them for a FULL year for a steal of a price.

Happy New Rear



It's getting close to that time of the year. You know what I'm talking about. The time of year where everyone rushes to the gym to purchase a membership because THIS is the year that they are going to workout daily, get healthy, and finally get in shape. The time of year when everyone seems to go on a weird fad diet to get healthy. 

And then the 2nd week of January rolls around and everyone slowly starts to drop out and before you know it the gyms are back to being fairly empty and the McDonald's lines get backed up.  

Sound familiar? 

I have been there, done that. So many times.

But not anymore. I have found MY solution and hope I can help you as well. 

I have tried going to gyms before and liked them. I have nothing against the gym. I think for some people it is a great resource...but it's not for everyone. I liked my time at the gym, but it just wasn't for me. 

I found that I didn't want to load my kids, get in the car, drive to a gym, unload my car, drop off my kids at childcare, make sure I came at the specific time for my class, do my workout, get my kids, load my kids, drive home, unload my kids, get them settled, take a shower, blah blah blah. We are talking at least a 2-3 hour time commitment here. Yikes. 

It got to a point where my kids were fighting me about going, so sometimes we would get to the gym and come right back home because my kids just didn't want to go. And I didn't want to force them. 

Sometimes I would be late and miss my class. So then I just did my own thing on the treadmill, which is fine, but not what I was hoping for. 

And sometimes the weather would be awful and I just wouldn't want to go. So on those days that I didn't make it to the gym, I just wouldn't workout. And those days were piling up. And I ended up paying for a gym membership that I rarely used. 

AGAIN...gyms are fantastic for a lot of people. My husband is one of those people and LOVES working out at the gym.  It just turned out that I wasn't one of those people.

If you are like me, then I highly recommend trying out my online health and fitness challenge group.

All workouts are done at home. They are designed on a schedule to get you a total body workout. They are short. Depending on the program you choose, they are between 20-60 minutes. You don't have to pay for gas, childcare, trainers, etc. You are on your own schedule and can fit in your workout whenever it is convenient for you.

Nutrition. I have always struggled with nutrition. With this program I am learning how to eat healthy normal foods in portions that are healthy for my body. I allow myself to eat the "good" stuff, but in moderation and have found that I don't even crave it much anymore. 

PLUS, I am loving that I can get all my daily vitamins, minerals, nutrients, probiotics and extra protein with a daily shake. It's so easy. And so delicious. I have found that drinking this daily has really cut my sugar cravings in half or more. 

The online group has been the biggest help. I love checking in daily with my challengers. Woman from all walks of life, with all different kinds of goals, supporting and motivating each other to succeed. It is incredible the power that comes from this community.

This is my progress photo after 10 weeks. I am finally getting rid of my spare tire. And it feels GREAT!!!!! 

I am NOT spending hours in the gym. I am NOT eating tiny amounts of weird food. I AM having fun. I Do have hard days, but I have the support I need now to push play anyway. 

(I know. I need to wash my mirror!)

Glitterize Kindness Workshop :: day three


Oh dearest me. I meant to have this posted earlier so you could actually do it! Woopsirooskies. Anyhoo. Today I want to think about general decency. Like being a decent and generally kind human.

Hold the door open for the person or persons behind you and SMILE at them as they go by. Let people cut in front of you in line at the grocery store. Don't drive angry. Smile and wave friends, smile and wave. If someone drops something, help them pick it up, and bonus...throw in a compliment. If someone is sad, hug them. If you see someone who could us a dollar, give them a dollar or two. Tip a little extra at dinner. If you have an extra piece of gum, share it. Don't assume the worst.

You will feel better and so will the people around you. Try it out. It feels so good to be kind.

Glitterize Kindness Workshop :: day two

Oh how I love a good compliment. Today your kindness challenge is to give compliments. Give them to total strangers, your kids, your spouse, your friends, etc. Compliments are totally free, and the best part is...they make people happy. Sometimes a little uncomfortable...but usually HAPPY!😊


Not sure how to compliment a stranger? It's actually pretty easy: I like your hair. Your smile is beautiful. Your eyes are so sparkly. You have rad leggings. Love your shoes. Etc. Super simple.

Maybe think a little deeper for people we know better. You are so wonderful. I love that you are always so kind. I think you are awesome a frisbee throwing. Your dance moves are out of this world. You make the best cookies. Your brain is cool. I bet your spirit animal is a unicorn cause you are so magical. 🦄

Now comes the hard part for most people. ACCEPTING a compliment. I don't know why this is so hard to do. But I am guilty of brushing off compliments, or making some excuse why they are wrong. Cute hair. Oh, actually I am having a terrible hair day. You look pretty. Are you for reals...I haven't showered and look a mess. Etc.

Glitterize Kindness Workshop :: day one



Today's challenge is to simply pay it forward. I think we can all say that we have received kindness this way at some point in our life. I have been the recipient of free food in the drive though because the person in front of me paid. Or been gifted a free meal because someone else in the restaurant was kind and paid. And hopefully we have each, in turn, paid it forward. Well, if you haven't,that is totally ok. Today is YOUR day.

If you are out and about think of a way that you can pay it forward. Buy someone a treat in the grocery line. Pay for the person behind you in the drive through. Whatever small act of kindness it may be is awesome. And if you feel so inclined, share what you did in a comment below. The nice think about kindness is it makes other people happy, but it also makes YOU happy.

Why are they ALWAYS hungry?

As you know, I have 4 boys. And they are ALWAYS hungry. I am sure you can relate when I say that I am so sick of feeding them!!!! I mean, don't get me wrong, I adore my children and want them to be healthy and happy and I feed them daily because I love them and it's my job as their mamma and my husbands job as their daddio to make sure they eat and the stuff they eat is healthy-ish most of the time and that they drink enough water because that is something I forget to do as a full grown adult and that as their parents we make sure to grocery shop so that we have food for 6 people every single meal which is breakfast elevensies midmorning snack lunch snack dinner snack midnight snack almost morning snack plus more snacks in between. (Huge breath). But feeding them gets so tedious! Am I right?!?!?!?!

I had the chance to go to an amazing workshop for woman over the weekend, and the hilariously talented Lisa Valentine Clark spoke (you have probably seen her in the Chatbooks commercial. Ummm, so good.) Anyway, she shared this video and it was too good not to share.

5 on Friday: Social Media Rehab


Do you ever find yourself spending waaaaaaaaay too much time on your phone or computer? Ummmm, the answer is YES for all of us. Sometimes we get absorbed in the world of social media. Whether it's facebook, instagram, pinterest, blogs, snapchat, twitter, WHATEVER. It's so easy to fall down the rabbit hole and find yourself an hour later having done NOTHING really productive.

I am a stay-at-home mom who owns and runs two businesses primarily using social media. So that means I need to spend time on my computer and phone to be successful. But what I don't need...is to neglect myself or my family. I am very guilty of this and have been learning some tricks that I thought I would share with you.

1. SET WORK HOURS. Especially if you are working from your home. I try (and have been failing) to get a solid hour in before my kids even wake up. That means I have to wake up earlier then they do. I get to work right away. I set a timer and stick to it. 15 minutes for email. 15 minutes for facebook. 20 minutes for photography. 10 minutes for blogging. You get the idea. ALSO, do NOT go to bed with your phone. I keep my phone charger in the kitchen so I am not tempted at night.

2. GOOGLE CHROME APPS. Um. Did you know about chrome apps? Cause I totally didn't. I stumbled across them recently and am so happy I did. They seem to have an app for everything. I found a few that are FREE that help with time management. Stay Focused and Strict Workflow are two that I have been testing out. So far so good. Basically, you enter in the websites that you want to restrict yourself from (facebook, pinterest, instagram, etc) and the times you want to restrict them, and this app won't allow you the view those sites. It's pretty great.



3. DELETE APPS FROM YOUR PHONE. Whaaaaaat? I know. This sounds like a crazy person talking. But it's awesome really. We really don't need everything at our fingertips. You can check facebook on your computer and take it off your phone. Same goes with pinterest and Youtube. You will find (at least I did) that you check them less when they aren't right on your phone.

4. GET ACTIVE. It's hard to check facebook or instagram when you are hiking up a mountain, or jogging in a park. So schedule activities into your day regularly. Go to the park with your kids and actually play with them. You could turn off your notifications and just have fun. It's worth it. Trust me.

5. NO PHONE FAMILY TIME. This is probably the most important step in my opinion. When you are home with your family, your phone should be the last thing on your mind. I am not preaching right now, because I am guilty of this from time to time. But your family should be number 1. And when we are constantly saying to them, "Just a sec, I gotta check this" they feel unimportant. And that, quite frankly, SUCKS. So...NO phones at dinner (make this a non-negotiable rule for everyone in your home, even guests). NO phones at family get togethers. NO phones for date night. NO phones for family vacations. NO phones when you are spending time with your kids. NO phones when you are with your friends. NO phones when you are with humans! I am serious. Interact in real life with the people around you. It's awesome.

Ok, So I know what you are thinking. "Whatever. How am I supposed to get pictures and videos of my kids if I never have my phone". Well, there are things called cameras that are pretty rad. Old school, I know! (wink) Orrrrrr, you could just take the pictures and videos with your cell phone, and then put your phone away. Post those pictures and videos during your "social media hours". Like after bedtime or during nap/lunch time.

Really, just figure out what works best for you. I just have been noticing that I need to cut back on my screen time, and my kids do too. Interaction with each other is so much more important than our social media posts.

Here are some more awesome ideas from POPsugar for a 7 day detox. I love the deleting one. You really don't need to be following 3,235 people on instagram. I mean, you should be following me. But all those other people you can delete!!!!
